Duh!!!

Do you ever have those moments? You know the ones when your watching an infomercial and you think "why didn't I think of that." Last night I got on Facebook late because a friends son had been taken to the hospital and I was checking on updates. I noticed one of my new Facebook friends (who is an adoption advocate) put a link for a foundation on. I clicked on the link not thinking much about it because truly as someone that advocates for adoption everyday I have seen thousands of sites. What I read on this site kept me up the entire night.

I truly believe God has given the creators of this foundation the keys in the fight against abortion. How many of you are pro-life? How many of your churches are pro-life? What are our churches doing about it? The Zoe Foundation was set up to be a tool for churches in the fight against abortion but in a way I have never seen before.

What if our churches started praying every Sunday for the lives of these babies? What if our churches started praying for hearts to be opened to adoption EVERY SUNDAY? What if the body of Christ came together to make a HUGE change in fight against abortion.

PLEASE, PLEASE go spend some time reading through this site yourself but here is a little of how The Zoe Foundation Works from what I have read.

Christians coming together to pray.

A database set of thousands of Christians from all over the country willing to not only be pro-life but to be willing to adopt one of these babies saved from abortion. A database that counselors, Dr.s or whoever else could show someone considering abortion that there are thousands of families ready to say yes whether it be a healthy child, hiv baby, limb diffference baby, bi-racial baby or maybe even a baby that God chooses to be on the earth for a very short time.

To have churches support birth mothers that choose life by loving on them, getting them gift cards to buy things they need, providing a home for them and the pre-natal care they need.

Getting Dr.'s, social workers, adoption agencies to be willing to help a certain number of clients each month that are adopting for NO CHARGE. What an awesome way to use the gifts God has given you. If you fit in to one of these categories they are looking for people like you so contact them!

Getting Christians to help others adopting fundraise to help with adoption expenses. This could be teachers that tutor once a week and donate the money to someone adopting. Someone that makes crafts selling them to help someone bring home one of these babies that have been saved. Someone that is an artist to use their gifts to help fundraise. Maybe someone that is a good cook offering to make hot dinners for working families once a week in exchange for donations to an adopting family.

Let's not forget about kids too. What if we started teaching our kids to fight against abortion by loving others? Let the kids get out and have lemonade stands, car washes, art auctions or mow lawns to help save the life of a baby by supporting an adopting family.

God gave each one of us different gifts and what if thousands of people came together to use those gifts to fight abortion, love on birth mothers and help adopting families get these babies into loving homes.

Please click here to go read about this foundation. Pray about getting your church involved in this foundation. Watch the video below.

Can You Guess What She's Dreaming of Tonight?

We have one very excited little girl!

Amaya's top tooth has been loose for MONTHS and it has been driving her crazy that it wouldn't come out. Last night we watched a movie about a tooth fairy and she was determined that this tooth was going to come out. Amaya took her fairy house outside last night just in case but nothing happened last night. Tonight she told me she was not going to bed until it came out so she told me to pull it. I turned on a Veggie Tale video for her to watch while I was pulling it and the tooth came out before the video even started.

Since I have a lot of friends reading this that are teachers out there I have something to tell you. The one thing that Amaya gets even more excited about than the tooth fairy is telling her teacher about it the next day. I don't know about other kids but how special is it that in the eyes of at least this child it is more exciting to think about telling her teacher than it is even for the tooth fairy to come.

Jaxson and His Capri's

This morning I had to take the girls to sign up for Girl Scouts and I am sick so I just asked all the kids to get dressed and to be honest I didn't even check to see what they had on.

Jaxson had said something to me about wanting to wear capri's like Amaya and I, and I said "Jaxson just get dressed we need to go."

I went and dropped Jaxson off to work with daddy while I took the girls and didn't even notice his pants until he got out of the car. Jaxson decided if he didn't have capri's to wear he was going to make capri's to wear.

Now to totally change the subject, is this not the cutest cupcake you have ever seen? There is a new bakery near us and my mom brought this home for us.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Child of the Week - In Honor of Tressel

In honor of Baby Tressel I thought I would pick a child of the week for this week that needs a mommy and daddy that will help him get help to fix his little heart.

Joshua (19)

Boy, Born April 8, 2007

Joshua is a sweet 3 year old who was born with an ASD (atrial septal defect). As a result he does have pulmonary hypertension, and he needs a family quickly to get the medical care and surgery he needs to correct this before it is too late. Joshua is tiny and is kept from doing many things because they do not want him to exert himself. Joshua has so much potential in life, and I can't wait to see him running and climbing with the rest of his friends!

Joshua has a large grant of $4775 to help with adoption expenses.

Please pray for him.

Spread the word about him. The more his face gets around the better the chance of him finding a family.

If you are able, help donate to his grant fund because he needs a family fast.

Click here and scroll down to find out more about him.

Also please keep Emilie and Scott in your prayers over the next couple of days because tonight is visitation and then tomorrow is Tressel's funeral. Since the funeral is a long way from where they live they are also having a Celebration of life for Tressel on Sunday. They are collecting books to donate in Tressel's name to Cincinnati Children's Hospital so if you would like to donate a book or a few books leave me your email and I can tell you where to send them.

The Awe Factor of God

You know, every night when I take the dogs out before bed I look at the stars and am amazed at the greatness of God. Everytime I see mountains or the ocean I think the same thing or even just being in the woods and seeing God's creations, hearing and smelling it. Until I saw the video below I never really thought much about what is beyond the stars. Watch this video and be amazed.

Over 1,700 Praying on Facebook

There are now over 1,700 people on Facebook praying for Tressel. The family found out that this mistake has NEVER been made before in surgery.

If you haven't done so already will you please join the group at http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=111891358864899&ref=mf and help spread the word by adding the link to your blogs and Facebook pages?

Tressel truly, truly needs a miracle and God says when 2 or more are gathered in his name he is there too. How powerful it must be when thousands are gathered in his name!

Could you also leave them a comment telling them where you are praying from so they know people are praying from all over the world?

Thank you!

"Fail Us Not"

Why? Why? Why?

OK, I need to just be able to write this out this morning because I have so many emotions going through my head.

Last night Chris and I and several other people went to Cinci to see baby Tressel and his parents. I have to say this was one of the hardest things I have ever done.

Just last week I ask a Friend of mine permission to do a post about her baby daughter she lost and talk about the little heros of our world. The little ones that are so good at the job God has given them in life that they accomplish it in just a matter of days or months and then go on to be with Jesus. Never did I think last week that I would be standing next to a friend of mine last night knowing she is losing her son UNLESS God decides to breathe life back into this child.

I can't imagine losing a child but how do you even deal with losing a child when it comes down to the fact that your child was poisoned by the hospital that you took them to to save their life.

Last night Tressels mom took me into see Tressel and all you could see of him was his forehead and his little swollen arms sticking out. Tressel is black and blue from the swelling. Honestly when I saw him I was filled with anger because he was poisoned, but not only that his parents can't even hold him or have anytime alone with him. He is living on life support and the room was full of Dr.s and nurses.

I ask Emilie if I could pray with him. I took his teeny, tiny hand along with his moms and prayed for a miracle. I told God that we were seflish and we needed Tressel here but if he chose not to provide a miracle that we knew Tressel was a little hero and thanked God for the time that this world was a little better that Tressel was in it.

I walked out knowing that only God is the one that could bring him back now. I walked out knowing that my friend and her husband have to do things over the next couple of days I can't imagine.

They know that it's not going to be long before they are asked to make a horrible decision about when it will happen, UNLESS GOD PROVIDES A MIRACLE WHICH HE CAN IF HE CHOOSES.

They have to find a lawyer and a very good one.

They have to face a hospital administration (with an attorney) that has not even apologized yet.

They have to celebrate Tressel's 7 month birthday today knowing that it will probably be the last birthday they celebrate with him.

Today many people are wearing red for Tressel and praying for him. Today at 11:11 people from all over the world will be praying for a miracle. Will you pray with us for a miracle? Will you also pray that if God chooses to take Tressel home to be with him that he will give Scott and Emilie the strength they need to get through what these next few days will bring.

You can get updates here and you can also leave messages for the parents here.

Prayers Needed Now...PLEASE!!!

This is my friends son and he was born a miracle baby after many pregnancy complications. This little precious boy was born with severe heart defects and has been waiting 6 1/2 months to get strong enough for the major heart surgery he needed.

Monday morning he went in to have his heart surgery. During surgery when they were supposed to rinse his heart in saline solution someone made a horrible mistake and rinsed his heart in alcohol.

This little guy is now fighting for his life and is being held alive by God and machines right now.

Please pray for a miracle. Pray that his very damaged organs heal and that God provides a true miracle for him. Pray that his heart will start functioning again as well as his liver and kidneys.
Pray for his mom and dad who are physically and emotionally exhausted.
They need a miracle right now! Please pray for them and if you can spread the word asking others to pray.
If you want to leave a comment for the mom and dad I will forward it to them. They are asking that prayer chains be started all over and I would love for them to know people are praying.

It's Official!!!

A to B Automotive is open for business!!! I have one very excited hubby. Chris opened this morning at 8.

We are still trusting God for a building of our own but for now he will be working out of my parents barn.

Thank you everyone that prayed for us and if your in our area please help us spread the word.

Back to School and First Day for Paigie

Well, today we sent out 2nd miracle baby off to kindergarten. Oh...I tried to talk her into staying home one more year with momma but she just wouldn't have it. Paige was so excited this morning we couldn't get to school fast enough.

The girls were so excited that they got to go together this year and they even wore matching shirts today.

Paige was very excited to find her seat in class and start doing puzzles. The little stinker couldn't get us out of there fast enough. I'm so glad though that she is excited and not crying or it would have made my day harder.

Amaya is a big first grader this year and we are sooooo blessed that her teacher is a very nice, christian woman who we go to church with. Amaya was so excited to have this woman as a teacher.
Amaya also thinks it is the greatest thing ever to actually have a desk this year. Let's hope she gets as excited about the work that comes with having a desk.

So for a couple of weeks it's just Jaxson and I until he starts school and then it will be very, very quite during the days.

Dear God,

Soooooo how long until the business is going good enough to bring another one home because I sure could kiss these little cheeks? I wonder how cute his little toes are and how soft his skin is. I wonder what precious little noises he makes when he wants to be held or he's hungry. Lord, does he have someone to pick him up when he needs cuddles or does he lay lonely and scared?

If not us Lord, please bring this precious treasure a family!

Breaking Free

Through one of the fundraisers I did, I met an incredible woman named Jill who has a HUGE heart for the orphan. Little did I know the day Jill left a comment on my blog that Jill and I would start working together.

Jill has a gift for graphic design and we have been working together to make pendants that are biblical, adoption related, orphan advocacy, cancer awareness and more. Jill even now works directly with my customers if they want custom designs or a picture of their kids or something else on a pendant.

I just found out that Jill is also an author of a book called Breaking Free. Jill is a mom of 9 kiddos and if she can cook healthy and be able to afford a healthy lifestyle than surely most families can.

I will be reading Jill's book and I wanted to share it with you. You can click the button below to visit her health blog.

FINALLY.....

Oh.......I was so excited to walk in the cell phone store today because we planned on walking out with something like this.

We had a good reason to get one with Chris' new shop. We are still living in the dark ages without even having text and finally, finally we were going to get texting and Chris could do a lot with this phone since he is in a temporary location for now.

I walked in the store with Chris sure we were going to walk out with one of these until............

WE SAW THE COST OF HAVING A PHONE LIKE THIS!

I'm sure this is what I looked like.

I said out loud before I could stop myself "how in the world does everyone I know have one of these."

Needless to say we didn't walk out of the store with one. Sometimes it's hard to pray what is at the top of my blog "Lord, break our hearts with the things that break yours."

Today though when I saw those prices this is what kept going through my head.

Today God broke my heart for what breaks his.

So for all you who know me in person I will still be living in the dark ages for a very long time with no texting so if you want to talk to me you can call the old fashioned way.

PS I'm not writing this to offend anyone who has a phone like this I'm just in shock of how spoiled our country is.

Child Of The Week

Can I be honest? I almost didn't post this today. Our lives are so crazy right now with what God has asked of Chris and I these last couple of months that I haven't found that balance yet of running a full time business, helping my husband start his business, being a mom to 3 little monkeys and well honestly it's been awhile since our house has had a good cleaning and it's in desperate need of it (that will happen today though).

It's easy for me to just tell God that I'm too busy to advocate for these children right now but the this is what God told me:

What happens if you were too busy to advocate that this child doesn't find her family?

If we don't have time to do what God calls us too how many people does it affect, not just one?

What if someone else that had been busy hadn't taken the time to post Jaxson's waiting picture on the web?

So I'm am taking the time and introducing you to a beautiful little girl named Mirabel. Will you help me spread the word about this beautiful baby that needs a forever family?

Mirabel (31)

Girl, Born August 28, 2008

Miss Mirabel is also a real cutie! From her medical records: congenital malformation of the central nervous system, cerebral hernia, hydrocephaly subcompensated, flail legs.

Thanks!
