It's My Birthday!!!

OK, I'm not usually like this but I AM SOOOOO EXCITED IT"S MY BIRTHDAY!!!

I really don't know why I am so excited today maybe it's because I am getting one of these soon for my gift from my hubby, maybe it's because we get to have a special Chuck E Cheese day today with Paige who's birthday is only 2 days before mine, maybe it's because God has blessed me with my new Etsy shop and I got a convo from someone thinking about buying them wholesale last night. I don't know but I am so excited today. I love getting older even though my body gets older. God has given me so many blessings in life and it's a day to celebrate!

OK, gotta get ready for church, have a wonderful day!!!

Paige's 5th Birthday Party

We had so much fun at Paigie's party last night. The cousins just love being together and it gets really loud but they have TONS of fun.

Well, I got her cake made but next time I do this I am allowing myself about 4 hours to do it instead of 1. It turned out OK but I can't wait to do it sometime when I really can spend more time on it. I just love Wilton stuff and I love when Hobby Lobby has things at 40% off!

Usually we give all the cousins grab bags at birthday parties but when I was shopping for stuff I found VBS things and so I git them visors to decorate and they has a blast.

Aren't they cute?

OK, if you are a very proper person don't read and more. We wanted to get a good pic of the kids together and I was having a hard time. Finally I looked at them and said " say......Uncle Nathan just farted" and it worked well as you can tell. I think that's what we need to do for Christmas family pictures now.

I can't believe my baby girl is 5 now.

Too Much To Do

Wow, do you ever have those times in life when it's just plain crazy? Oh my goodness this has to be the busiest week of the year for us and I was crazy enough to do a Pay-It-Forward event on my giveaway blog on top of everything else going on.

Chris has been working crazy hours sometimes until midnight working on cars at home. I have my Pay-It Forward event going on, making necklaces non-stop, had Gotcha Day, Paigie's B-day tomorrow with big family party not to mention it's my birthday on Sunday.

I don't have one present wrapped yet and tomorrow I will be busy making this:

Yes, I am capable of doing this and I will be doing this for my precious little princess. I can't wait for her to see it.

I can't believe my baby girl will be 5 in just a couple of hours.

OK, well I better get going I have tons to do.

Jaxson's 2 Year Gotcha

Yesterday we celebrated Jaxson 2 year Gotcha Day. Two years ago we were handed a very scared, shy, little boy that had just been beaten up in the orphanage.

Two years ago today that little boy officially became our son.

Now he is a very happy, VERY talkative, very smart little boy that tells the world his story. Jaxson tells everyone now that Jesus held mommy and daddy's hand to China to show us where he was waiting. Jaxson also tells everyone that there are many, many babies hungry and cold and crying that needs mommy's and daddy's. This is the little boy that knows what it like to live in an orphanage and wants all kids to have mommy's and daddy's.

That smile is what you could be missing in your life if you haven't considered adopting!!!

OK.....I'll Let You In On My Secret

As you all know I simply LOVE handmade things! I have wanted my own shop for so long but had know idea what I could do. I finally found something that really caught my eye and looked so fun and I learned how to do it. So today is the grand opening of my very own Etsy shop at:

This shop has several purposes behind it though. First of all I will be keeping down syndrome awareness items in this shop and $5 of every sale from them will go to a child waiting at I only have one listed now but I promise more are coming.

I also want to use this as a way to help adopting families fundraise to help bring kiddos home.

Last but not least I am doing this because, as a stay-at-home mom I will hopefully be able to bring in a little income and maybe even bring home another precious little one someday.

I still have lots and lots to add so go peek now but keep checking back. I will be super excited if you heart my shop!!!

Thankful Thursday

Wow, we have so much to be thankful for in this next week. Tomorrow we celebrate our 3 year anniversary of our land. If you have not read out land story you can click here to read it. It has been so hard waiting on God to let us build our little farm out there but we know God's plans are always right so we wait dreaming of the day. The picture below is the day we bought the land and the girls were 2 and 4 at the time.

In the next week and a half we will be celebrating Jaxson's 2 year gotcha day, Paigie's birthday and my birthday.

This picture above is a car that has my dear hubby very excited. Chris is pretty much a mechanical genius and he buys cars that are non-running and fixes them and then sells him. The car above is a Cadillac that God blessed us with one day even though at the time Chris and I were the only ones that saw it as a blessing. When Chris bought this car someone had tried to fix the motor in it and when Chris picked it up the entire front end of the car had to be picked up buckets. Chris was so excited that day because to him it was a challenge. Then about a month ago God blessed us BIG time with another car that had just the right parts Chris needed to fix this one. The car is just about ready to sell now (just needs a cleaning) and we can't wait to see who God has planned to own this car.
OK, gotta go we are going to town with Grandma this morning.
What are you thankful for today?

I Have A Secret!

I am so excited I can't stand it!!! I just had to tell you even if I can't give you the details but did I say I'm excited???

Sometimes it's so hard to wait on mail to come.

My secret is not what you're thinking.

The secret does have something to do with something I love though.

You will probably have to wait about a week to find out but I can't wait until I can share with you.

Don't you hate when people do posts like this? I sure hope Linny's reading this because she loves to do things like this to people.

We Did It!!!

We actually got a garden planted!

OK, so I have no idea if anything will come up or if the rabbits will eat it all but it's planted.

We have sunflowers, corn, marigolds (thank you Wendy), peppers, pumpkins, watermelon, cucumbers, carrots, 1 cherry tomato plant (Wendy, I couldn't remember you phone number and was a nervous wreck figuring out what to buy so didn't get any regular tomatoes) and wildflowers.

OK, it sounds like a lot but I will be excited if we just get some cool pumpkins that make it through.

The kids had a blast planting it so even if it doesn't grow they had fun anyway.

Do you think it will survive the bunnies in our yard?

Thankful Thursday

If you look really close you can see what I'm thankful for today.

God placed this nest about 2-3 feet from our livingroom window. If you look really, really close you can see that this nest now has baby birds in it. I am so thankful God sends us our little feathered friends every spring and that sometimes he even places their home right by our window.

What are you thankful for today?

Mother's Day Weekend (I know I'm a little late on this)

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. On Saturday we decided to go to a market place that my mom is trying to get her gift baskets into. I am in love with this little market place and it reminds us so much of being in Charleston, SC (our favorite vacation spot of all time).

After the market place we went to IKEA for the very first time and we were shocked. I have never, ever been in a store the size of this store and let me tell you that I will be heading back on a weekday sometime when it's not so busy!

On Sunday we went to the Creation Museum. This is a museum that helps explain creation and things from the book of Genesis.

We picked the perfect day because Mother's were free that day and Paige was free for another 2 weeks so we only had to pay for Chris and Amaya to get in.

It was so beautiful there and we had such a good time. The kids got really bored in the museum because their daddy is a reader and there is a lot to read. Once we got outside though they had a beautiful garden to walk through and a petting zoo so the kids were very excited.

Can you tell that they were tired by the time we left?

Jaxson's First Trip To The ER

Well, Jaxson got his first trip to the ER. Exercise is good for mommy and daddy but not so good for the 4 year old playing with the exercise band.

I was in the next room hanging a wall decal and Jaxson came in crying with blood running down his head. Paige had been playing with the exercise band, which she knows not to do, and somehow with the tiny metal piece at the end that holds the handle on she managed to put a hole in her brothers head.

I'm not a mom that gets to freaked out about things but when I could see the bone under the hole I figured it was in need of stitches.

We got to the hospital and thankfully the Dr. said he thought glue would work perfect in that spot. Now Jaxson is the proud owner of his very first scar given to him by his best friend/sister/twin.

Wouldn't you know it happened at a time when I had raggedy clothes on, no make-up and my hair was a mess. Oh well, Jaxson's so stinkin cute I bet they didn't even notice what I looked like.

My Girls!

I some cute pictures for you tonight. This was Paige's second year of tap dance and she had her recital this weekend. She did so good even though it was so long. So many people come to see it that that have to have it 2 days in a weekend and it lasts 3-4 hours. Paige felt like such a little princess though in her outfit and she had a ton of fun.

This is Amaya in her Poppy Dip Twirl that I won on the Poppy Dip blog. Did I happen to mention I am having a Poppy Dip giveaway that you can enter by clicking the link above. I totally understand why she calls these twirls because that is all Amaya did the whole time she had it on. She LOVES her twirl!!!
Oh.....I wish I were rich and could buy a closet full of these.

How was your weekend?
