Drowning In Stuff

Do you ever feel this way? Oh my goodness I am a little overwhelmed at all the stuff we have. It's not even that we really have that much stuff compared to most people I know but with 3 kids and 2 dogs it is getting to be a lot of stuff.

I love HGTV and I just dream of someone coming into our home and giving us some storage solutions. We live in an almost 100 year old home. A hundred years ago they didn't have stuff so they didn't need a place to put it. We have very small closets, not small like the ones you see people walk into on Property Virgin and they say "oh my I could never live with out a walk-in closet." I'm talking SMALL closets!!!

Since we have decided to keep out house for a while I have got to figure something out. We have a small kitchen with descent cabinet space but very little counter space. Our laundry room is connected to our kitchen and so there is always piles of laundry.

Oh and shoes what do you do with kids shoes???

If anyone has some really wonderful advice for storage or pictures of cheap things you have done I would love to have some help. We don't have a lot of money to spend on storage stuff so I need cheap ideas.

You are talking to a lady who just took 6 garbage bags filled to the local Hospice thrift store today!!!

Shoes, we have a laundry basket in each bedroom that all their shoes are thrown into. We do lots of cheap baskets from Michaels to store various things. They look nice and yet hide the "stuff"!

I need help figuring out to do with all my pictures i have taken over the years. A simple and easy way to organize them.

I am struggling with this same issue. There is the daily "stuff" of life - shoes, coats (hats, gloves, etc..),backpacks, papers, and toys that make me crazy at times. I did put hooks on the inside of our coat closet door - the boys are trained to hang up their coats when they come in. This might be my only success! :) I can manage the daily stuff fairly well...it's the mounds of clothes that make me nutty. With all four kids of the same gender - keeping the clothes for the next kiddo is a must. Managing them all is a challenge for me. I am hoping that tons of people respond with great ideas for you and me! :)
BTW - love, love, love Jaxson's smiling face! :)
