Our Miracle Baby Is 6

PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD!!!

I just noticed a couple of hours ago that 11 kids have found their forever families through the Angel Tree on www.reecesrainbow.com.

Guess what? DUNCAN IS ONE OF THOSE KIDS!!! Duncan has a family!

The giveaway will still go on for another couple of weeks to still help his family raise grant money. I may have to go change a couple of things when I can but it still is going on (I'm sick so it will have to wait a day or so).

PS One of those 11 kids, the beautiful little girl named Olga with the most amazing smile ever, is coming home to our church and I couldn't be more excited! If you want to check her out just go to the angel tree kids on reecesrainbow, scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says my forever family found me and there you will see the most amazing smile ever. In the picture it just looks like she knows her mommy daddy, big brother and sister are on their way to get her.

Best Chili Ever

We have been in our indian summer and it has been just beautiful. Well, this morning we woke up to 32 degrees again so I thought is was a perfect day to start a crockpot full of yummy chili for supper. Some women in our church made a freezer meals cookbook and this has to be the very best chili in the world. So go grab your crockpot (if you can find it Rett) and make yourself a pot of the BEST CHILI EVER. Honestly I don't know if I'll ever be able to make normal chili again after making this one.

Mexican Chili

1 can black beans

1 can red kidney beans

1 can whole kernel corn

1 can cream corn

1 can diced tomatoes with chiles (I accidentally used the really hot stuff today but it's even better that way)

1 can of water

2 lbs of hamburger (I use 1 1/2 pounds to save a little money)

2 pkt. ranch dressing

2 pkt. taco seasoning

Brown the hamburger. Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low 8-10 hours.

I always make a double batch and then stick half of it in a gallon size freezer bag and freeze and then the next meal is soooooo easy.

You can put chips and cheese on top and oh you may never eat normal chili again.

Jaxson's First Day Of School

Jaxson had his first day of pre-school today! He was very excited and I was very nervous. Jaxson has NEVER done anything by himself and has a really hard time just being away from mommy, daddy or his sisters. We put him in pre-school for "speech" but really to learn that it's OK to do some things on your own and to help him make friends before going to school since he looks different than the other kids.

When I took him to school I stayed for a little bit to do paperwork and he really wasn't to sure about momma leaving. The teachers are so nice though so I knew he would be fine.

Can you tell he was one tired boy when the bus brought him home? This is a boy who wakes up at 6 every morning so no nap was a big change for him. I asked him how his day was though and he loved it. He said he played with play dough, read books, played cars and had so much fun and he can't wait to go back. I am one very happy mommy that he wants to go back.
