Thankful Thursday

If you look really close you can see what I'm thankful for today.

God placed this nest about 2-3 feet from our livingroom window. If you look really, really close you can see that this nest now has baby birds in it. I am so thankful God sends us our little feathered friends every spring and that sometimes he even places their home right by our window.

Mother's Day Weekend (I know I'm a little late on this)

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. On Saturday we decided to go to a market place that my mom is trying to get her gift baskets into. I am in love with this little market place and it reminds us so much of being in Charleston, SC (our favorite vacation spot of all time).

After the market place we went to IKEA for the very first time and we were shocked. I have never, ever been in a store the size of this store and let me tell you that I will be heading back on a weekday sometime when it's not so busy!

On Sunday we went to the Creation Museum. This is a museum that helps explain creation and things from the book of Genesis.

We picked the perfect day because Mother's were free that day and Paige was free for another 2 weeks so we only had to pay for Chris and Amaya to get in.

It was so beautiful there and we had such a good time. The kids got really bored in the museum because their daddy is a reader and there is a lot to read. Once we got outside though they had a beautiful garden to walk through and a petting zoo so the kids were very excited.

Can you tell that they were tired by the time we left?

Jaxson's First Trip To The ER

Well, Jaxson got his first trip to the ER. Exercise is good for mommy and daddy but not so good for the 4 year old playing with the exercise band.

I was in the next room hanging a wall decal and Jaxson came in crying with blood running down his head. Paige had been playing with the exercise band, which she knows not to do, and somehow with the tiny metal piece at the end that holds the handle on she managed to put a hole in her brothers head.

I'm not a mom that gets to freaked out about things but when I could see the bone under the hole I figured it was in need of stitches.


We got to the hospital and thankfully the Dr. said he thought glue would work perfect in that spot. Now Jaxson is the proud owner of his very first scar given to him by his best friend/sister/twin.

Wouldn't you know it happened at a time when I had raggedy clothes on, no make-up and my hair was a mess. Oh well, Jaxson's so stinkin cute I bet they didn't even notice what I looked like.

My Girls!

I some cute pictures for you tonight. This was Paige's second year of tap dance and she had her recital this weekend. She did so good even though it was so long. So many people come to see it that that have to have it 2 days in a weekend and it lasts 3-4 hours. Paige felt like such a little princess though in her outfit and she had a ton of fun.

I totally understand why she calls these twirls because that is all Amaya did the whole time she had it on. She LOVES her twirl!!!

Oh.....I wish I were rich and could buy a closet full of these.
